The Barbara Barrett Fund at Hickory Veterinary helps caring pet owners who are struggling to afford life-saving emergency treatment. Thanks to the generosity of our clients and donors, we can offer small, needs-based grants to eligible pets.
The Barbara Barrett Fund is made possible through a partnership with the Veterinary Care Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible and are used solely for animals in need.
To be considered for The Barbara Barrett funding, a pet must be receiving care at Hickory Veterinary and be either a Good Samaritan case or belong to an owner facing significant financial hardship. Applicants must have a Hickory Veterinary treatment plan and estimate, and show that all other payment options have been exhausted, including:
